World renowned spinner and Indian cricket captain Anil Kumble is serving the Gentleman's Game with distinction.

Having graced the game at the highest level for almost two decades and still going strong, engineer Anil Kumble is doing tremendous justice to his rich educational background, Indian culture and lofty spiritual values.

The game needs such distinguished human beings all the time to take the sport to a next and a higher spiritual level.

Through his impeccable behavior on and off the field, the long serving cricketer is a shining example for younger cricketers to emulate.

Cricket for him is a sport, a tussle between the ball and the bat, where endurance, skill, patience, timing, footwork, running, stamina, quick reflexes, fitness, honesty, justice and respect for the opponent are paramount.

Supremely talented cricketers from various cricketing countries across the planet have assembled in India to play in the ongoing competitions out there. It is indeed an attractive platform for the players to demonstrate their talent and cricketing abilities, without harming their dignity as human beings made in the image and likeness of the Divine.

Let us wish our distinguished cricketers a fine stay in our country. Suswagatham !
